The impact of climate change and artificial intelligence on healthcare, health system resilience and equity are the pressing issues addressed at the 2024 HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition. The most influential digital health conference in the continent will convene in Rome on 29 - 31 May, 2024 at Centro Congressi Roma La Nuvola. It’s expected to draw thousands of healthcare leaders to share ideas and innovations that would shape the future of healthcare in Europe and beyond.
HIMSS24 Europe will be the epicenter for a variety of projects, including the popular HIMSS Pitch Fest, pan-European collaborations like the European Health Data Space, Gravitate Health and Label2Enable. The World Health Organization-Europe will join in, continuing a part of the memorandum of understanding by the WHO-E and HIMSS.
"We're very excited to hold the HIMSS24 European Health Conference & Exhibition in Rome,” said HIMSS President and CEO Hal Wolf in Lisbon, the site of HIMSS23. “We’ve been working with the mayor's office diligently for several months to arrange this opportunity and they're opening up the world-class city for us with opportunities and venues that have never before been done."
Elena Sini, HIMSS board of directors chair and the founder of the HIMSS Italian Community, shared her excitement. “We launched this community in 2017 and it has grown so much … there's a lot of interest in the Italian community about what HIMSS is able to support in national strategy in terms of digital health," she said.
Attendees can expect to witness education, innovation and collaboration with diverse European countries. Interested parties can learn more about HIMSS24 Europe by watching the announcement made Wolf and Sini.
